Stephen Gilligan, Ph.D.
The Art of Generative Coaching* in Tokyo
Dr. Gilligan has been helping individuals and groups to establish major
changes in their lives for over 35 years. This latest workshop addresses
how to develop the art of *Generative Coaching*. Generative change means
creating something beyond what has ever existed, whether in personal or
professional life. AT the heart of this process is attention to a
person’s “state” as the core difference that makes a difference; that
is, the outcomes a person produces are only as good as their state. The
training focuses on how to first develop a generative state―that is, a
high level of mindbody relaxation, concentration, and fluid flexibility;
a creative mental response to whatever challenges exist; and a deep
connection to positive resources beyond a person’s ego state. Generative
Coaching then focuses on how to maintain this state in dealing with
whatever challenges a person is facing, so that new and meaningful
results can occur.
Generative Coaching allows change to occur at the deepest level of
“identity,” where core beliefs and visions exist. We use sophisticated
mind/body approaches to help a person transform the way they think,
feel, respond, and create in their life situations. We ensure that
people improve their productivity, deepen their well-being, and increase
their value to others.
Major topics include:
--How to develop mastery of the three minds: Somatic, Cognitive, and
Field Consciousness
--How to realize the four goals of the Generative Self: happiness,
health, helpfulness, and healing;
--Make deep changes in your self and others at the identity level of
core beliefs and visions
--Make sure both you and your clients are centered, relaxed, focused,
and committed in every important expression
--Mastering the four steps in Transformational Change: Preparation,
Shifting State, Transformation, and Return to the Ordinary World.
--Sensing the gifts and wounds of the person, and utilizing both for
generative change
--specific strategies for creating experiences and outcomes beyond what
has existed before.
